Students Yearly
We believe that it is our responsibility as Christians to raise children in the light of God’s word.
The education of children must be Christ-centered equipping them to become responsive disciples of Christ who seek the will of the Lord in all aspects of life.
Providing a comprehensive student experience taught from a fully integrated biblical worldview, in partnership with parents.
Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. LHCS is more than a school: we’re a Christian community that extends beyond the classroom. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive student experience taught from a fully integrated biblical worldview, in partnership with parents and it shapes everything we do. We have passionate teachers to educate students and a well equipped facility. This is truly a joyful school where great things happen.
In 1954, the governing body of LHCS, the Kitchener-Waterloo Christian School Society, was formed by a group of post-war immigrants from the Netherlands. The vision that brought them together for a Christian school was realized in September 1967 with 22 students in the basement of the First Christian Reformed Church of Kitchener on Ottawa Street.
Our founders worked together to build and open Laurentian Hills Christian School, a three-room school, located in a former corn field at 11 Laurentian Drive in September 1969. Over the school’s almost 60 year history, our student body has grown from 22 to over 380 students that represent over 50 churches. LHCS has proudly graduated over 1300 students (and counting!).
Our passionate and qualified teaching staff foster a love for learning and for God. They view each child as a unique gift and seek to inspire growth and learning in each student.
