Expanding opportunites in learning and faith

Engaging God’s world

Solar @ LHCS

LHCS is now generating solar power! We’ve been “on the grid” for about a week and we have already generated enough to power four homes (even with winter sunlight hours). Some may wonder why we are doing this? Although this project will earn a small profit in years to come, the reason is bigger than this, and has to do with stewardship and modeling creation care to our students and neighbours.

Cross-cultural engagement

If you have a student in grade 4, 5, 5/6 or 6 you may already have heard that we have some International students that have joined these classes for January and February. Through a partnership with the Waterloo Learning Centre our school is hosting six students from Korea. This is a great opportunity for both Korean and LHCS students to engage with someone from another culture. Please join our staff and students in welcoming these visitors.
