We are a community of Christ here at Laurentian Hills Christian School. In an excellent effort to foster that community, we expanded our biennial science fair to include our entire school, from JK to Grade 8. In preparation for our Celebration of Learning, all our students were very busy preparing a diverse assortment of projects, art, penmanship, and stories, among other things.

Last week students in our Junior and Intermediate grades participated in our first History Fair. It was exciting to see our students engaged and excited about their topics, and sharing what they learned with parents, their peers, and younger students.

Last week our annual Food Drive for the Waterloo Region Food Bank wrapped up. Our Student Impact team led our school in this, and encouraged our students to give. Thanks to the LHCS community for over 600 items donated! And thanks to the Impact team for advertising, organizing and packing up the donations.

Anticipation is building as in less than two weeks our Narnia Musical will be performed! Over 60 students from grades 5-8, and grade 4 as the choir, are involved! As you can imagine our students and staff spend a lot of time getting ready for the musical, so why do we invest so much time in this?
