At the membership meeting, I had a chance to show parents some of the changes with our new report cards for grades 1-8. If you missed the meeting, here are some changes you will see when report cards go home next week.

Next week Tuesday is our Fall membership meeting, and some of you might be wondering what this meeting is about and if you should come? This meeting is one way our school community comes together to share our vision for LHCS, to share our successes, our concerns, our hopes and our dreams for Christian education for our children.
Last week our annual Food Drive for the Waterloo Region Food Bank wrapped up. Our Student Impact team led our school in this, and encouraged our students to give. Thanks to the LHCS community for over 600 items donated! And thanks to the Impact team for advertising, organizing and packing up the donations.
Anticipation is building as in less than two weeks our Narnia Musical will be performed! Over 60 students from grades 5-8, and grade 4 as the choir, are involved! As you can imagine our students and staff spend a lot of time getting ready for the musical, so why do we invest so much time in this?
Easter is the time when we remember Christ’s sacrifice, and victory over sin and death. We can celebrate that we serve a risen Lord, who is Lord over all of creation! We can say with confidence that “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it!” Psalm 24:1a
Last evening, we held our Science Fair Open House and it was great to see so many parents, students, grandparents and friends out enjoying the great work our students have done this year! Science Fairs have been done for years in schools all over Ontario. What makes them different at LHCS?
